A flooring inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of a flooring system to determine the cause of performance issues, installation concerns, or material-related failures. Through on-site observations, testing, documentation review, and analysis of industry standards and manufacturer requirements, a flooring inspection helps identify root causes, clarify responsibility, and provide objective recommendations for corrective action. Inspections can address concerns involving all finished floor coverings- including carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, tile, stone, and other flooring systems in both residential and commercial environments. Each inspection is supported by a detailed report containing observations, test data, photographic evidence, and relevant industry standards, installation practices, and manufacturer specifications.

Concrete moisture testing evaluates the condition of a concrete slab prior to flooring installation to determine whether it meets the requirements of the specified flooring system and manufacturer. Excess moisture can contribute to flooring failures, adhesive issues, mold growth, and warranty concerns if not identified before installation.
We perform testing in accordance with ASTM F2170 (In-Situ Relative Humidity Testing) and ASTM F1869 (Calcium Chloride Moisture Vapor Emission Rate Testing). ASTM F2170 measures the internal moisture condition of the slab, while ASTM F1869 measures the rate of moisture vapor emission from the slab surface. Together, these tests provide valuable insight into slab readiness, helping project teams reduce risk, support warranty compliance, and make informed installation decisions.

Avoid costly flooring failures before installation begins. Our Project Consultation service helps owners, contractors, designers, and distributors evaluate project conditions, flooring selections, and substrate requirements before materials are installed. We perform on-site substrate evaluations and moisture testing prior to material delivery to verify that project conditions meet the requirements of the specified flooring system. Upon material delivery, we can also assess applicable flooring materials to determine whether they are properly acclimated and ready for installation, including wood plank flooring moisture testing to provide that documentation you need for your warranties.
By reviewing manufacturer requirements, jobsite conditions, environmental factors, material limitations, and installation readiness, we help project teams identify potential concerns early, support warranty compliance, reduce risk, and make informed decisions that contribute to successful installations and long-term flooring performance.

Empower your sales team with the knowledge they need to set accurate expectations, improve customer confidence, and help prevent costly flooring failures. Our showroom workshops are designed to educate sales representatives on common claim issues, product limitations, installation requirements, maintenance considerations, and manufacturer warranty conditions across a variety of flooring categories.
Drawing from years of inspection experience, we share real-world examples of why flooring failures occur and how many of those issues can be prevented through proper product selection, communication, and expectation setting. These interactive sessions help sales teams better understand the products they sell, identify potential project concerns, communicate important requirements to customers, and provide more informed recommendations.
